Mosaic commissions come from private individuals, corporate entities, public bodies, as well as community projects and schools.
The process of creating a commissioned piece for a customer/client begins with a consultation. In this time our thoughts, ideas, colours, materials and positioning of the mosaic commission are discussed.
Once a stronger idea is born, I will then produce the first draft of the design. This continues with changes, alterations, and discussions until the customer is happy for me to begin with the creating side of the process. Dialogue and images continue throughout this time until the piece is complete and ready to install.
With the use of internet and email, mosaic commissions can be taken and produced from anywhere nationally or internationally and sent through the post when completed to be either hung or installed depending on the nature of the commission.
Some examples of commissioned mosaic art are a circular mosaic for Allied Glass, and kitchen splash backs for private clients.
